Review: Kumho AT51 235/85R16

I’ve had Kumho AT51’s 235/85R16 on my Defender for 5000km now.

The tread is more aggressive than it looks. The blocks are smaller than a mud, but still more blocky compared to many other AT’s.

Excellent grip on road with deep channels and lots of sipes. Excellent grip on fast dirt and tracks.

They started silent on road, now there is a slight hum particularly on sweeping corners. It’s what I expected. IMO they are a good combo and at $260 each a bargain.

Time will tell in terms of longevity and sidewall durability. Will report back down the track.

Good to hear that, always liked the Khumos, had KL71's on my D2 and they were brilliant, I am considering the 51's as the next tyre for my ranger, if I can get them in the size I want.
