    Puma 2.2 Coolant Hose Set

I’m looking for a full set of coolant hoses for 2.3 Defender. Only finding the Allisport silicon set.

Can anyone suggest a good supplier for a full set of rubber coolant hoses?

thats a lot of hoses especially on the passenger side.
I wouldnt have thought a 2.2 would need hoses yet.

Hi Daz, yes as Graekynn says - spares for remote travel.

It's mind boggling how many coolant hoses there are on a Puma compared to previous Defenders!

What would you advise in terms of carrying spare coolant hoses for a 2.2 Puma? ...I guess I could carry one long length of hose in appropriate size (if available?) and cut to fit as necessary?

Allisport do a Coolant and an Ancillary hose kit.
Just received mine from them they are out of stock until after Christmas.
When removing my engine I found that some coolant hoses were glued on and required some force to remove.
I do not trust these hoses so I am going to replace.

Cheers Mark, wasn't sure about silicon for coolant? But sounds like you reckon it's the way to go.

    Here's the Allisport ones:

...Noodle Nation! LOL and almost $1,000!

Looks like two sizes - coolant and heater hoses. For remote travel / spares, would it be a good idea to just buy a length of each size hose and cut to fit for the one that fails if/when needed?

    Zeros,
I will pull my hose kit out tomorrow and have a look at what I think you can get a way with.
I would be more concerned with the boost hoses rather than coolant.

Thanks Mark that would be great, although I haven’t found them for sale individually anywhere yet.

Yes I already have spare intercooler hoses. But really need spare coolant/heater hoses for extended remote travel.

I started another thread about Puma spares, but not many responses yet. That was more focused on ECU related electrics/sensors, but it would be great to hear from anyone else re their remote area spares list/kit for Puma?

    Classic list so far:

    Intercooler hoses
    Coolant hoses - TBC
    Fan belt
    Bearings
    Unijoint
    Oils / Coolant / grease
    Ignition barrel
    Fuses / globes
    Spare key/plip
    Nanocom

    ??
ECU Sensors - which ones? / sensor cleaner?
    Relays?
Waterproof accelerator sensor? or Lanolin spray

What have I missed for Puma?

I wouldn't worry about the two coolant hoses in the Puma on the passenger side between the radiator and the heater valve near the firewall as I can't see why they would split.
I would focus on the other coolant hoses because they are lower down and are running coolant at about 100 degrees through them.
I have replaced the turbo and intercooler hoses with black silicone ones I found on EBay.
All of the hoses in silicone can be found on EBay in both black and blue for a lot less than $1000.
Apparently the one most likely to fail is the short right-angle one at the bottom of the radiator so I'd start there and replace them progresively if it was me
