    Need more info

    What tyres?
    What loads?
    What road surfaces?

I’m sure I run softer than most especially on dirt front axle
But I’m not afraid to use 50psi in rear axle with a load?

Have a go at 35 front 40 rear

I’ve always found LT230 landies like a 5psi read bias?

On dirt I run 25 front and 30-50psi depending on load

    placard figures

When I went to 225/95r16 found a placard that said 2 bar front and 2.5 bar rear for a defa. Mine is a tray back 94 model

Pressures seem to be about right running around on tar and on 5 acres. Have since bumped the front up to 2.1 bar due bull bar but seems to run ok . no increase in temp or pressure running around town in traffic. Much reduced crashing and banging. No sidewall heat and good in the wet.

This placard also refers from an earlier discussion. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/im...15/07/1226.jpg

    Another placard http://www.defender2.net/gallery/alb...0pressures.jpg

Second one goes for 2.1/4.5 bar or 30/65 fully loaded.

96 PSI would be the max pressure for the max load on the tyre.

The placard on my 2012 130 recommends 45 psi front and 65psi rear. Thats what I use for highway and the tyres wear evenly. Lower pressures tend to wear the corners of the tyre profile

    Hi,
with the camper on the back I run 45/ 65 psi in Toyo tyres on the bitumen.
25/40 is about as low as I have needed to go in loose sand out to the Lambert centre.
I haven't driven on beaches that aren't regularly used by 2wd cars, but would go down to 15 on the front and adjust the rear for the same footprint if I had to.
    Cheers

On mine at 3500kg's I run 36psi front and 42psi rear on bitumen. Drop 20% to 25% on gravel/dirt and straight to 20psi on sand.

This is with 235/85/16's. BFG AT's on the front and MT's on the rear.

If you wan to have them correct weigh each axle. Adjust the pressure to be above the ratioed values shown on the sidewall.

    What tyres?

Different construction almost demands different pressures.

With 255/85-16 BFG MT's I only ran 35psi all round, sometimes 37 in the rear and the beast tared between 2650-3000kg.

With Maxxis 762's in the same size I needed to run 40-42, the case was much more compliant.

Back in the 235/85 days it was pretty much 45 front, 47-50 rear with Bridgestone MT's.

With both brand 255/85's and exclusive gravel use it was 25psi all round.
