You might be right. I was only going on the figures I've read, I've not driven a Puma.

Yep 122bhp for a standard Puma, but it does have 6 gears.

It will do it fine but don’t expect to be “keeping up” with bigger more powerful vehicles.
The aerodynamics of a Defender above 100 hit any engine hard.
Aerodynamics certainly wasn't on the check list when they designed the Defender. 90 seem to be the sweet speed for my rig.

They do have the antistall though?
    Anyone?
Mines a 2003 and it doesn't have ABS. Sorry not familiar with the "anti stall" Isn't that just more of the pedal on the right LOL...

Having said that, it will happily plod along at 90 with a good stir of the gearbox on hills. I personally don't like using the 130 as a tug and will be purchasing something else in the near future for that role. This will allow the 130 to be what it is ie a camping touring vehicle.
I bought my 130 for that purpose also, and I'll continue to use it for that. Just thought it might be suitable to tow the van also, because we like the idea of travelling with the van when in areas where you want to stay for a while, then leaving it stowed somewhere when you want to do more remote places.

So that's with the Alive Tune you mentioned.

If I can ask Please, Why are you considering changing it & what would put in it's place?

Anti-stall is a later Defender feature - my 2009 Puma has it - which ups the revs to about 900 to prevent stalling. Very useful when stuck.

The TD5Alive has been a good tune and an improvement on what I had...but a little on the Smokey side, Jose offered to adjust it but I haven’t follow it up.

I going to send the original MSN ECU to England for it to be adjusted.....just cannot think of the business. I’ll have to dig out his email.

Will vac seal the NNN and carry it as a spare.

Mine tune is a little different to almost all other TD5 as I don’t as AS10 module.

That seems a bit of a rigmarole Weeds. Why not head down to MR and see what they can offer?
