I had similar experience with my 2000 defer, at first I thought it was the stricter on the b pillar but i ended up having to replace the whole mechanism in the door.
Has anybody any idea how to stop my 2008 Puma door from popping open as I'm driving along. It's a bit disconcerting! It doesn't open fully but basically the first catch seems to release randomly. The second fail safe catch stops the door from flying open and depositing me in the hedge. It all started when I took the door panel off to oil the workings of the interior door handle as it was stiff. I had to keep winding the window down to open the door from outside. Did that and the door handle was like new but this new problem started. Also, when I lock the car remotely all the doors lock except the driver's side door. Any thoughts gratefully received.

I also had that problem, and replaced the lock. Make SURE you don't get a replacement in a blue box. Mine lasted about 4 months. The genuine replacement I got after that is still working well.
Don.

The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
....and likely that the wiring in the conduit from the a pillar to the door is broken, that is why the central locking on that door doesn't work...

Passenger door on my 130 does this too. I find if I keep the door locked it doesn't spring the catch, but looks like I will be buying a new door lock assembly soon.
