Question Opening PUMA Passenger Rear Doors to 90 degrees - What's involved

    Guys,
I've noticed when comparing the Rear doors on my old Defender Tdi to the Puma Defender that there is quite a bit of difference when it comes to how far they will open up. I'd like to be able to increase the amount that the rear doors on the Puma open up to... Wondering what's involved in doing this? Is it as simple as adding a small flat bar section to whats already there to help the door open more?

    Hi Rob,

I have those door adjusters from Mulgo, something else to have a look at when you have time.

They are a really simple design. I did see another one from a UK supplier that looked a little different.

Yeah really simple Rob, You just have to make sure you dont make them too long. If you do the door opens too far and the leading edge of the door connects with the B pillar. Dont ask how I know

I also have the Mulgo ones and they are excellent. Cheap too.

Best to extend the wires to the Rear locks also they do tend to break when you do this mod.

Yes, very true, one of mine did, and had to be fixed.
