Rear LH Brake Pads are always wearing out

This is a strange one.....2013 110 Defender....Has been chewing through the rear LH brake pad set every so often....All others are fine.

What could be going on? I have checked that the caliper is floating properly, and that after applying brake pressure(Stationary) the pressure is off.

Could there be a problem with the ABS unit continually bleeding hydraulic pressure to the caliper?

Anyone have the same issue or ideas?

*How quick is it wearing out compared to others?
*Are you then changing out pads in one caliper? while its not a technically advanced ABS / traction control system, I'm not sure I would recommend changing out pads in one caliper on any given axle.
*Defender TDCi models tend to wear out rear pads first, but normally as a set on a axle.

I have been changing both sets (REAR) when the LH side has worn out.....This last set of pads are all the way to the metal, and the others are 75% maybe. Last chaged 8 months ago...I live near Tamworth NSW, so not a lot of city driving!

I have also heard the LH rear brake squeek(brake noise) when travelling even when there is plenty of pad remaining? My son usually hears it, as my top enf frequency range hearing is shot! But it seems to come and go!

I'm just wondering if it could be valving in the ABS unit?

I had a similar issue, one of the rear lh pair had nothing left, the other had a bit left. Both of the rear rh pads seemed to wear out evenly. Don't know why, and don't think the rear Lh caliper was seized as both rotors are of the same thickness and the fuel economy is always good. Put a new Delphi set on a few months ago, will check at the 170,000km service.

A few questions that might give some clues for the uneven wear
Does the brake in question get hot compared with others?
Are the two pads on that hub wearing excessively or just one?
Have the pad trailing shims been installed with the half moon cutout in the correct orientation? Cutout should be orientated to the lower part of the caliper when fitted
Are the pistons in good condition? Pitting and corrosion may impede the piston retracting properly.
