Oh, out of interest, what is Rim banding
Adjust the stops until the tyre just clears the arm, it does make a fair bit of difference. I've learnt to live with the turning radius, you certainly have to pick your spot for a U-turn.

I had to google it.

Where are you located?
I have a set of disco1 Steelers flipped and hot dip galvanised wearing a set of Bridgestone Muds that have done one Cape Trip which I would consider moving on?
PM if interested

Yeah they most definitely are
1300kg per wheel
They have a higher rating than stock (slightly less than Wolf)
Definitely okay

Standard 130 rims (wolf) are rated at 2200kg per wheel, pretty sure disco steelies are not legal on a 130 although some people use them. I guess it’s not really a problem if you’re never at gvm?

Check your vehicles axle load rating.
Rear will be usually higher than front.
Divide by 2
Ensure the stamped load rating on wheel is a bigger number.
Simples.
Disco1 Steelies are load rated at 1300kg
So give an axle load rating of 2600kg
Far in excess of any defender axle load rating ever
It’s simples
And that’s just to keep everything legal schmegal
Look at the construction of a D1 Steelie compared to all other defender rims but the HD Wolfs
and you’ll feel safe.
Don’t even get started on running tubeless on tubed rims
