    Australian Puma specifications

Hi Just a question there is an ex australian Puma (written off by insurance) for sale here in New Zealand.
Question, this one appears tohave the vinyl?/rubber floor spec but not carpet, did they come into australia like that at all? as in New Zealand all NZ models had carpet which I understand is the higher spec?
just curious as the only ones like that here are ex Uk imports which may have a bearing on price backgroundetc as they are prone to rust etc thank you in advance

There’s nothing in the photos I can see that would suggest it’s not Australian. The only one’s I’ve seen here with carpet were some of the limited edition models.

The only unusual things I can see are that it has premium seats in the front without the matching seats in rear and that the little bracket for the rear number plate is missing.

Neither of these would necessarily ring alarm bells to me. Changing seats is not exactly unheard of. All Australian delivered wagons had the bracket for the rear number plate that sticks out the side so our big number plates fit. However its easily removed and if you don’t need it, it would make sense to take it off.

    Cheers,
    Jon

Thanks everyone, someone i know was interested and its good to know all the right stuff, NZ new ones were all upsold(priced more highly for dealer profit) with carpet and other higher specs so when you see a more basic one in NZ its more normally an english import with potentional rust in chassis and bulkhead a problem. Defenders holding value a 2016 one was 67k now people want 80k, by the look of it at present my 2008 done 40k is worth 12k more then I paid for it...
