My TD5 Defender didn’t have factory air con...I’ve since had a shop put a compressor in, unsure what they needed to do.
Wondering if a/ it’s posible and / has anyone done it?
I understand there’s a non aircon belt ,and also that the poms have a bracket with an idler in its place however with the variants in air con compressors theres no clear awnser that I’ve found ...at the moment I’m farting around a compressor I don’t need and is prohibitively expensive when it seizes..big benefit is actual legg room for the passenger lol..

Yea I’m not shure if the aircon mount is just there and requires only a shorter belt, or like the pommie models it has a bracket with another idler wheel

Don’t suppose I could buy the air conditioning bits you don’t need? I have an air conditioned County that I would like to update to something more modern. I live in Gipsland so pickup would be easy. Cheers Mark
If I can find out how to run the belts ur welcome to them.though I’m not shure wether the coweling under the dashwill have to be kept...the compressor has a striped thread but that’s an easy fix
