    Removing ABS pump

I've got to get the ABS control unit out of my 2008 Puma in roder to replace the shuttle valves and seals. The 3 amigos problem (though I only have 2 amigos) is getting more frequent. I dont have a sh$t show of getting access in place, the unit is almost completely under the right front wing.

So I thought I'd remove the right front wing, after I figure out how to get the Safari snorkel off.

Anyone removed a wing? Will this give me access to the ABS unit?

You could try remove the snorkel first and get access through the hole, but yes generally removing the wing panel is easier.

If you loosen the pedal box you can get them out on a TD5 Defender without removing the guard

I just accessed through the snorkel hole, twice. First time to wire up bypass out of switch, the second was to replace the switch when that didn't work.
There where three nuts attaching the snorkel which are accessed through the wing access panel. Three nuts to seperate the modulator from it's mount. Three nuts to remove the mount and push out of the way so you can get a number 4 allen key up in there to remove the, you guessed it 3 allen bolts.
It's keyhole surgery, best to be zen like and not have anyother plans.

    X 2.
I succeeded with this. Had to rotate the ABS 90 deg to get it out. If you are undoing the pipes on top, I found it easier to use a crow's foot spanner head on an extension and 3/8 ratchet as I had trouble getting the swing room for a flare nut spanner. This also allows you to use a torque wrench later to do them up to the correct torque setting.
