    Import fees on intercooler and BAS remap

    Has anyone else had to pay import fees on parts bought from BAS. I have just received a txt msg from the courier UPS?

    Do they specify what the actual fees are? Could be GST. If you paid more than $1000 for the parts then they have to collect It for the govt from you.

    The 1K finished last year, now any amount has GST applied.

    Could still be duty payable on more expensive items, apart from the GST.

    yes but... under $1k the seller has to collect the gst, over 1k it’s the freight company who has to collect it.

    Hmm no - only if they are registered for GST - if not, then GST is liable to be paid on arrival of the shipment irrespective of the value. For smaller items unlikely to be charged for expensive stuff you will get nabbed and in between is pot luck.
