    TDV6 Auto Defender conversion

We have finished another conversion and this is our favorite so far. A 2014 110 Puma with a TDV6 and auto. By using a TDV6 we have found the best balance of power, economy and drivability. Its smooth and puts a smile on your face. A bit more tuning and testing to be done but the results are very promising. And for anyone that want more we are able to do the TDV8 aswell.

Hi, looks like a nice Defender.

    A few questions?

What gearbox used? As in tdv6?
    What transferbox? As in tdv6?
What computer to run engine and gearbox? As in tdv6?
    How does it drive?

    Thanks

And of even more interest (to me anyway)

What is the rest of the drivetrain ? I have a tdv6 and I feel that it may have *slightly* more Torque than a td5 or 300..

    Will the drivetrain hold up?

    Cheers

Didn't the D3 come out with the same 6 speed manual box as the Puma Defender? Rather than the auto, I reckon a manual version with the TDV6 would suit me to the ground.

Yes the tdv6 has bulk Moore torque and horse power, but its as smooth as silk so depending on your driving style as to weather you need to upgrade axles etc

The disco runs a zf manual which is far better than the puma box.we can fit that box if you wanted to as we have an adaptor available from that box to the lt230.I dont think it would work out any cheaper than the auto and I believe that if you came and drove the auto with the tap shift i think you would change your mind.cheers

Totally agree, the ZF 6 spdmanual is no improvement at all. 6hp26 all the way!! Would be an awesome development with 4.4tdv8 and 8spd auto one day...🤔😊😊👍

    Great work you lot!!!
The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
