    2.2 130 coolant leak?

Any ideas on a coolant leak, coming from the left hand fire wall, wet around the chassis near the fuel cooler, but nothing leaking up above from what I can see..all hoses look dry, almost like it’s coming from inside the passenger footwell then through the floor??

Turn heater and fan on in car.
Can you smell coolant, if so heater core.
Have you checked the heater tap on the firewall common source of leaks.

I’ll second checking the heater tap. Also check the associated hoses haven’t rubbed on something, on ours the ECU was loose and had just started to rub on one of these hoses.

    Puma 2.2 coolant leak

Check the plastic elbow left hand side top of oil filter housing for moister. It's part on the oil cooler circuit and coolant may be leaking past the "O" ring seal. If so, with engine cold loosen hose clip and catch fluid in a bucket, remove retaining bolt and jiggle elbow out, replace "O" ring, reinstall, fill coolant.

I've just repaired a coolant leak which had coolant over a similar area. Turned out I'd a hole in the coolant line. This is the hose which runs from the rear-upper fitting from thermostat and then back towards engine block where it meets a three way plastic fitting. Picked up the rubber hose from EA Eagers parts at Pinkenbah for $142. Had to disconnect the upper rubber tube from intercooler to steel connection back to engine in order to remove hose clamps of pierced coolant line. Good Luck

    Found it..

Found the leak, it was the heater inlet hose at the firewall..but, I had a new chassis put under this Ute 4 years ago, and it appears that they have failed to put the hose clamp in place..I’ve always been able to smell coolant in summer or when I’m towing, but it’s never used much..can’t believe it hasn’t blown off, considering I’m always off road or on really rough roads..thanks for the help 39A9D6DB-25AC-45A5-BFF1-95D2E9E55B51.jpg
