Once the problem first occurs, lock and unlock the car. If the car then starts and runs normally, it sounds like and immobiliser problem. I am assuming the battery is in good condition and charged up.

Hi folks!
I've got a problem which has me scratching my head. Sometimes when I turn the key on Hector, his engine starts, turns one cycle and then just cuts out. Repeat attempts to start him then have the same outcome. Then I leave it a bit and he starts normally. Obviously this is a electrical issue. This problem first emerged about three days ago. It seems to happen when the engine has been running and is restarting. Hasn't happened yet from a cold start.
Could it be anything to do with the engine immobiliser?
Any thoughts? Anybody had anything similar?

Thanks Ian. Yeah tried that and it didn’t work, tried it again and it worked? When the engine is running it is completely normal, it’s just the start which is the issue.
I guess it could be a number of things but I read somewhere that the immobiliser kills the fuel pump, which Seems consistent with what is happening. I could be wrong.
