I have a factory HD 110 cab chassis.

There is some gusseting of the chassis as well as the suspension changes

Well after a lengthy chat with an engineer it appears one offs in Queensland are becoming less and less due to latest legislation and one off testing is expensive as there is only one facility in Queensland.

He was impressed that I my bagged rear engineered as many interpret the rules as not requiring a blue plate. Apparently bagged rears are a focus point for the inspector due to the increased numbers of conversions happening g

He was also Land Rover friendly i.e. used to own Landy.

I could seek a second opinion but I think I’ll let it slide.

Well.......after ringing around they all seemed to indicated that 10% is is the number for one off upgraded, there was a term they used for the approved off the shelf kits for the mass produced late model cars. This requires full engineering, land change, brake test etc....I think. I didn’t want to question too much. It’s the only queensland company prepared to have a look.

We don’t need 3500kg, last trip we were 30kg over and I guessing there will be an an extra 100kg added before we depart ~3180

Might even be able to fit Wolf Rims, been holding off due to the weight of them.

I think I have ticked all the boxes they have requested. Some roadworthy items are getting addressed today while the locker is being installed.

A little unsure if civvie delivered TD5 110 had rear sway bar fitted as standard, mine has a front seat bar fitted. I said mine was a special order and didn’t have a rear sway bar fitted.

And there is the age old debate if my dynamic rims need the little spacer rings between hub and rim.

Good move, I had everything engineer approved and signed off for on mine (for tyres/lift, not GVM), so diffs, axles, brakes, springs, speedo correction, , wheels, tyres, guards and everything that weas done and which formed the engineers report. If they have an inspection blitz, I should be pretty safe.
    Cheers

Thats exactly it. As you know, we certainly worked over the rules at the time, but made sure it complied.
