Thread: Black header tank

After reading stories of header tanks splitting, especially the black ones I decided to get an alloy header tank.
After contacting an aftermarket seller (Ebay) and not exactly getting a warm fuzzy feeling from them I opted for an Alisport.

Fitted it today, the old black one is the original from '94. I was waiting for the outlet pipes to snap off as I pulled pipes of the old one but it seems in remarkably good condition so are the black tanks really a problem ?

I'll keep the old one as a spare for the young bloke (Disco 1).
