Beastly green 130 TD5 overtaking me uphil, and ....

    Hi,

maybe you can illuminate this recent experience eof mine. I was flabbergasted!

I was going 100k on the road just outside Bairnsdale, uphill(!) and saw a defender catching up on me. This now: I was driving my wife's turbo Golf. This beastly green 130 TD5 overtook me uphill, at least 110k. I kept to the speed limit and caught up when she pulled into a gym kind a place. Could not resist asking what had been done to it but she said it was bought like that by her.

It's a green 130, with sage green Flexiglass canopy on the tray, white roof. Not smoking at all. Looked a bit neglected outside. The lady driving said she had no idea and 'are they not all like this?' Sounded much like my TD5 when idling.

Anyone know this 2001 GREEN LANDROVER DC UTE and why it goes like that?

In East Gippsland maybe a couple of years ago there was a Td5 130 Defender for sale with a Storm Tuning stage 2 remap. Maybe that was the same car ?

Its a **** term, I've no doubt MarkF knows what it is, but it's a term that many people use but don't know what it specifically is either. Its just a remap of the ECU to change the fuelling, timing or whatever to increase the power, torque and EGT's.
