Have a look here Quick mid-brake-disc-change hub nut question (2010 110) I was also looking to change back to the old type but the spacers are there to compensate for stub axle variation so you should be able to reuse the spacers. I ordered the required socket and the genuine hub seals but haven't got around to doing them yet.

I did my fronts 4 nuts 2 tabs leave spacers in then just adjust as you would normally......been in for 3 years and all seems fine

I’m just collecting bits now from my local

I didn’t realise TD5 Sals have stack nut and I have a leaking hub seal.

Remove spacer between bearings
Reuse washer between stack nut and bearing FTC5241

Purchase
2 x FRC8700 lock nuts
1 x FTC3179 lock tab

I also grabbed
1 x RTC3511 oil seal

Just converted the drivers side to twin nuts.

I removed spacer.....

Glad I had the correct size socket, as a tube spanner would have struggled to remove the stake but, yes I did knock the staked out. Hammer and chisel would have worked and given they are single use would matter so much.

I used the following
2 x FRC8700 hub nut
1 x FTC3179 lock tab
1 x FTC3188 stub axle, had one and there was the slightest lip where the out bearing runs 0.0025” so I replaced it

Pick of tools a used....started doing this for all repairs maintenance info prior to our departure date in the effort to cut down on tools.

Hmm, around 52mm pretty sure it’s imperial equivalent......

It’s 1/2” drive and not off the shelf, needed it for a work job. More avails in 3/4 drive.

You’re welcome to borrow at any time, once I’ve switch both sides I’ll just carry tube spanner.

If you stay staked my torque wrench might also be big enough.

OK, they are the same size as the HD Drive Flange Nut then.... I've got a 52mm but in a 3/4 drive though. I have bought a 3/4 to 1/2 adaptor as well
