I have loads of both new take outs and used units for recon,

these will be a problem in the future, there will be demand, none from landrover and the rebuilding industry will struggle to get core units for 2 reasons,

    a) nobody in their right mind would break a defender, worth too much

    b) we converter hundreds of Disco R380's to Defender for export but there is no readily available core to 'make' a MT82, the transit is way to dissimilar to converter cost effectively,

I buy A LOT of MT82 old core when ever I can as I forsee a shortage in the future and once thats gone I think it will be question of sourcing something sustainable like the Tremec and adapting front and rear to replace the MT82,

I am in no rush to sell them on an outright basis as they will be worth double in a few years,

    just my thoughts !

Pretty poor the manufacturer can’t supply them, even rebuilt, considering some of those Pumas are only 5 or 6 yrs old.

Goes along with the rumours that LR couldn’t give two hoots about the last Defender run,and couldn’t wait to get them off their books.
