Does anyone know if you can buy a clutch and pulley repair kit for the defender puma 2.4 aircon compressor?
I had a leaky pipe and got it replaced, it had been leaking for a couple of summers, this time when I got the pipe replaced and the aircon gassed it did not come on, the aircon guychecked the electrics and everything and reckons the clutch is gone and I need a new compressor, they are a bit exy and in Aus. I could get one for around $800 landed from the UK, however after spending all the money getting the hose shipped from the UK, replaced and gassed I am reluctant to get a new compressor and have to pay the aircon guy a small fortune to swap it out and re-gas again, if it a replaceable item I can change myself. I have seen some for the TD5 but not for the TDCI.

I had a squeaking pulley and replaced the tensioner and another pulley thinking it was them, as it had fixed it before, I am now thinking the noise has been coming from the compressor clutch.

Any Ideas?
