						Hello All,
Has anyone found an Australian supplier for the driver's side TDI decals? I went online and searched for decal suppliers. I found lots of United Kingdom based suppliers. The cost of freight from the UK would be excruciatingly exorbitant.
I had to panel beat and repaint Snowy, my 1993 200 TDI Defender 110 tray-back ute's driver-side's mudguard. The TDI decal was not salvageable.
I would just like to have a decal back on the mudguard.
Kind regards
Lionel

Go and see your local signwriter/vinyl sticker man/woman. They can make one from a photo and measurements. I've no idea what a one-off would cost though. Or THIS.
Don.
Britcar UK have in the past been willing to use Royal Mail to post small/light items to Oz if requested. IIRC they quoted around $12 postage for some grommets I was chasing. Is this the decal you want (new website with no images yet so image here, Item 1)?
P.S. I have a "Snowy" D2a, ever faithful and knows where to go. Kudos for doing your own aluminium panel beating. Respect.

						Hello Max,
Thank you for the tip about the possible choice of using the Royal Mail. Last week I noticed that for the same light weight electronic part from the UK the majority of UK suppliers offered 44 Pounds for postage to Australia. While a rare few offered the part for 9 Pounds freight. I went with one of the latter suppliers. I wondered at the time how there could be so much difference in freight costs. I hope the snail loaded with my part can hold its breath when it takes the big swim across the ocean.
Working with aluminium, it helps when your efforts could not make it any worse. Also, annealing it before working on it helps a lot too. Then, annealing it again when it starts to work hardened.
Kind regards
Lionel
