    2016 Defender won't start

My mate is halfway between Coolgardie and Southern Cross in WA His 2016 Defender wont start but engine turns over and has fuel. I suspect the immobiliser needs to be reset. Anyone had this issue and have an answer.
    Cheers Brian
More info. there is a fuel leak with fuel dripping down onto the gearbox at the rear of the engine. Would this be the fuel regulator. Thanks

First thing to try is locking and unlocking with the remote. Assuming he has tried this already, on my 2008 2.4 I had this happen and the cause was one of the fuses under the driver's seat. There are one or two fuses in their own little inline holder separate from the main fuse box, I think it may have been one of those. Long time ago.

I the fuel reg is not located in that area ( I think its mounted twds the front of engine - its called SCV?) - sounds like there is air in the system so maybe the fuel line has been rubbing against something and worn through creating a hole/leak?

*If the imobiliser is all working the red light on the instrument panel should go out.
*If there is fuel dripping onto the gearbox, look for the source, passenger side of engine, the common rail, return lines, injector lines, it must be somewhere on top to drip onto the gearbox.
*Are you sure its diesel? did you lick it? (only joking, sort of)
*if the leak is from the high pressure side, its likely not going to trigger the injectors, hence wont start.
    Regards
    Daz
