I would try glowing the plugs twice on cold mornings to see if that makes any changes... I had something similar and just turn the ignition on/off a couple of times and this seemed to solve the issue
Fired up the 2.4 Puma today...cold day...seemed a fair bit of smoke. In injectors done on it not long ago. Expect a bit of a puff but this seemed more than normal.
Came right once underway for a few minutes.
Any additives should be looking at for a clean. I had read injector cleaners can damage them.

Yes good idea...and it had sat for a week or two. They all hate sitting.

*Injector seals done or injectors replaced?
*If replaced and you noticed the smoke, the pump is likely to need calibrating, this will stop the smoke on start up.
*An oil such as a 5W30 full synthetic can also make it smoke on start up.
*or as other have suggested, glow longer.

It threw an injector a few years...thought the truck was about to explode. So replaced all 4...not sure about seals...what are they?
I use total oil full synthetic. Good stuff.
