Defender conversion to electric article from Farming magazine

Here is another article on the conversion. It is priced at €24,000 plus Vat plus the installation costs. It is short on specifics but says the converted Defender has been tested towing 1.5t and 2t which is less than the current Defender can manage. Seems there is no loss of space as the engine bay, minus engine holds the battery pack. Most annoyingly he keeps on referring the converted Defender as a jeep.
24,000 euro equates to 36,544.80 Australian Dollar (plus vat plus installation costs). That covers a lot of diesel and road tax.

There is a bloke in Victoria who does conversions on old Defenders, he is up around $100k and over mark though.

    thats the one.

There is a company in Townsville who do conversions as well (not sure if Defenders, but other older vehicles).

I would love to do a conversion in a few years, I'll start saving now..
