It's like they had 25 left over in the back shed that everyone had forgotten about and wanted to do a cool build to sell them.

Powered by a 5.0 litre petrol V8 engine and eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy II delivers 405Ps and 515Nm of torque. Gloss Black 18-inch Sawtooth alloy wheels are complemented with upgraded brakes, suspension, and handling kit for additional driving confidence.
    Cheers

I recon they are trying to make the most out of the old school LR's that many remember.

I suppose they cannot be "new" otherwise they would have to meet all of today's safety standards. A remanufactured/refurbished vehicle just have to meet the regulations that were in existence when it was originally made.

"Each model undergoes a comprehensive rebuild with uprated suspension, brakes and steering enhancements. Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy II is offered as a 90 and 110 Station Wagon as well as a limited number of 110 Double Cab Pick-Ups available for the first time on a Trophy model".

    I'm pretty sure that's what they're saying.
