I don’t have a definitive answer for you, but the multipin hazard switch can be the cause of issues. When I had issues with mine, I decided to get a spare hazard switch to eliminate from the diagnostics process. I rang my supplier. $80.00 for genuine, $30.00 for after market. I said I’d get back to him. I looked online. Aliexpress had one for $6.00 delivered. I had already jumped the original hazard switch as you have, so I ordered it. When it arrived it was identical in every way I could see comparing it to the original in the Defender, even down to’Lucas’ and the part number on the back. If I had paid $80.00 for the genuine in the Land Rover box and got that, I would have been none the wiser. Anyway the new one checked out ok and showed that the old one was also ok. My problem was blowing fuses which, after lots of sleuthing over a long time, turned out to be a rust stain across the plastic body of a bullbar mounted indicator lamp causing a short. New LED lamps in the bullbar and the problem finally solved. All that happened along time ago……
Don.
