I want to store my spare inside my 2014 D90, preferably on a stand up bracket, or something else that makes things nice and safe & tidy for the dog in the back, but not too permanent that I cant revert to back door when I head out on a trip . Have you seen this done? TIA.
I saw this when I researched carrying an extra spare for disco.
economical at $149.
I have no idea how well they work. The wheel would certainly need to be ratchet down quite tightly.

Jeffoir's suggestion made me think you could use two wheel chocks, if you could figure how to secure them and easily release them. In practice you should chock wheels when changing a tyre so double duty.
