Thread: TD5 Intercooler

As a D2 owner, do not know a lot about accessories for the Defender but have installed a Darkside Development Defender VNT turbo Kit (modified the turbo inlet and outlet to fit as it is purpose designed for the Defender) which is a beautiful piece of kit with a Shack tune, tuned down to only 26psi due to the auto not able to handle more Nm's.

Was back on their website regarding another issue and noticed this intercooler they are offering (states 28.2 for dispatch) at 200GBP, which against the cost of D2 intercoolers is pretty reasonable. As to sizing against the others etc. no idea LOL What I can assure you of is that the welding and such on the SS Manifold and downpipes is A1, just a couple of pics to show that quality

Now, that IS a special looking bit of kit. Doubtless there was a big jump in performance. Is it worth the time, effort and money, in your opinion? Would you do it again, if you had your time over? What mods did you have to do to intake, etc.
