Over the holidays I fitted my Td5 with a Turbo Technics VGT turbo. It already had a large intercooler and tune however the turbo lag before 2000rpm was extremely frustrating and after fitting 255/85 tyres made it difficult to drive in urban/city traffic.

In addition to the turbo a boost box, new map and higher flow airbox. The change in power and driveability has been well worth the effort and cost. Having previously had the turbo off to do the manifold and fit a hybrid turbo cartridge there were no surprises with fitting although I had to have a second go at getting the oil feed pipe fitted without leaking.

Also to the opportunity to renew some coolant hoses and block off the pesky oil cooler hose.

This is an upgrade I should have done way earlier and I would recommend to any Td5 owner.
