SupporterHaving just replaced the reverse switch on the side of the gbox, I still haven’t got a reverse light. The light comes on momentarily as the gear stick is thrust hard into gear, but then goes out once the gear is engaged.
If the switch is ok, could there be an issue with something not throwing out far enough in the gear selector? How can I check and what can be done to fix?

SupporterJust for the record, having extensively search the web, and having replaced the switch without result, I shaved 1mm off the back of the switch head and refitted same. This must have just been enough extra depth to allow for any wear on the internals…. And hey presto, light works again. This idea was sourced on a British site and seems to be a reasonable solution.

SupporterI had a similar issue, posted here somewhere. It was solved by removing the little gasket that comes on the reverse switch and replacing it with silicon sealant. That fraction of extra depth did the trick.
