    Hi
Is this the correct P/N JS660L? It's all I could find.
    Thanks

I don't recall seeing a filter like that on a Defender.

Down near the rear axle there should be a spin on filter.

Ryco Z119 or Z615 come to mind.

There is also a sedimenter that needs regular cleaning.
AAU9902 and AAU9903 are the o rings required for that.

    Hi,
    I don't think so.
I beleve AEU2147 is the spin on cartridge filter, drivers side at the front of the engine bay.
    This is the only filter.
There is a sedimeter at the back near the fuel tank, but this doesn't have a "filter" in it, rather it relies on differences in density of fuel, water and large particles.

Like TonyC said, a stock 300tdi Defender only has one fuel filter located in the engine bay

It's possible the previous owner added an extra in-line fuel filter. However a search on that part number suggests it is a petrol fuel filter. I'm not sure if that would be suitable for diesel.

    MANN Petrol Fuel Filter

    Yes,

It should be drained at each service, there is a drain cock on the bottom.

If it hasn't been done for a while, it's worth taking out the bolt that goes up through the middle, this will let the bottom half come off, you might be surprised how much gunk is in it.
