One concern is the guy told me each front door weighs 35kg. This seems heavy but I admit I don't know what the factory ones weigh. I'm worried what this might do to the hinges if they're much heavier than OEM.
I doubt they weigh 35KG, they don't feel that heavy to me. The genuine front ones I have are the earlier alloy skinned ones and are much lighter as you would expect. I'll try to remember to weigh them.

As for filling them with wax or fish oil, I was thinking along the same lines as you should get a few years out of them.

Good plan whether they come from China or Chad or Chile. Wish OKA had done that.

Hmm, name is Ian at Mulgrave. Looking at his other items for sale, I suspect it’s Ian Waddell who used to own (years ago) BMI - British Motor Imports at Mulgrave. His son, Matt, also sells LR parts on Gumtree and ebay.

I don't need to leave anything at the door, as has been noted many times that this forum is not for anyone here to decided what can or can't be said.

How about you leave your weird telling others what to say or not say at the door? or does it somehow offend your preciousness?

I just weighed the doors and I think he has made a mistake with the weights (presuming they are the same as the ones I have). I knew from picking it up it is nowhere near 35Kg

Chinese Puma style second row door (still in cardboard protective packaging) 13.4 Kg
Genuine 300tdi style front passenger door 10.5 Kg

Weighed on some dodgy luggage scales so allow for some variation.

you can say the dumbest thing you can think of, I'm not stopping you. Do your weird racism and pretend others are being precious, it's good to know who we're dealing with.

That makes much more sense. A couple of kg difference because they're steel skins.
