Thread: Heater control cable stops

The little clip on the plastic heater control device (in the dash) that holds the cable sheath has broken off. Therefore when I try to adjust the temperature, the whole cable moves, not the arm of the mixer under the bonnet.

I tried to secure it with a couple of cable ties without success. The unit (PN:JFC500840) is nearly $400NZD so a new one is out. Anyone have any good ideas for a No8 wire fix? I was thinking my next move would be some sort of p-clip and some epoxy.
