    VDO gauges for Tdi 300

    Hi
What part number VDO gauges do I need for fuel , water temp and speedo for Tdi300 ? Do I need sender units or do they connect straight up to the standard sender units. What about the wiring from the old gauges does it just connect to the new gauges?
Heard I need the 240 to 33 fuel gauge is the correct?
    Thanks

I've used capillary type VDO temperature gauges in the past, but they fail due to vibration causing cracks in the capillary tube. I would suggest you use an electric type.
Having said that, I love the way they respond so quickly. You always know exactly what's going on.

No idea of the LR VDO gauge range (or part number). 300 tdi/TD5/ - fuel sender range E 270 - F 19 ohms

Aftermarket (not LR specific) VDO gauge p/n 301-105 (240-33 Ohm range) - matching sender 330 to 13 ohms when touching the stops.

you can buy correction modules from the likes of Tanks Inc (US) and ARC that allow you to match the sender to the gauge. I like the features of the Tanks Inc. You can program it to fuel volume and/or fuel level. Volume is more accurate - half the full volume of the tank is half.
