With a canopy I really have no need for a opening rear window.
In any event it's covered in silicon, the rubber and felt needs replacing, etc.
Perhaps putting a fixed window in might be a better option?
Anyone done this?

I've done it. I just removed the frame from the vehicle, took to glazier, who cut a piece of tempered glass to suit. In my case one of the glass panels had shattered, and this was the easiest solution at the time.
towe0609 and what seal/rubber/whatever did you use to fit the glass into the frame?

						Hello All,
It would be really good to have a photograph of what window is being discussed. I read the word 'ute' in the 90, 110 and 130 Defender section and I had to come for a browse. Especially, the bit about a part number for a better type of bailey channel for the sliding rear windows. My 1993 Defender Snowy's seals and channel need replacing.
Kind regards
Lionel
