Thread: Aircon condenser

I was looking over the shoulder of a mechanic a week or so back as he scrolled through pages of them on the NAPA website. Unfortunately, I think that on-line catalogue is only accessible to account holders.

Well it seems that there are no aftermarket options, Natrad no longer list them, a/c specialist has been unable to source one, LR dealer price is $3975 !!! genuine from UK for GBP 927 delivered seems to be the only option

There is another option available, it's meant to be a direct replacement, it's close but needs slight mods.

Britpart do one. i've used them before, seem ok, $1600 landed

as they dont fail often, i wouldnt be adverse to sourcing a secondhand one.

there is a ebay seller in the U.K selling genuine ones for $1100
there is also a pile of different aftermarket brands available, most look like you have to make mods to them.

Something that might work is having it aluminium welded.

I did this on a bike a few years back. When my late son crashed, a stick holed the radiator. It has worked for the past 14 years.
