Thread: I’m sorry… an oil question I can’t find an answer for?

My son picked up some on sale NULON APEX+ 5W-30 MULTI-23 for me and my Puma 2.4. This is a C2/C3 oil with specs from others overlap Ford 913B -

GM-LL-A-025
VW 505 00/ VW 505 01	GM-LL-B-025

I have no DPF so ash levels being low isn’t a concern.

Question: is it ok to use this C2/C3 oil in the 2.4?

Best I can figure, with no dpf/catalytic converters it should be fine but perhaps slightly less fuel efficient. Same viscosity/shear as A5/B5, which is ok. Just a different SAPs I think which is only relevant for DPF or cats.
