    Hazard switch shorted starter

    Hi guys,
I was trying to get the hazards and blinkers working, so pulled the hazard switch off and was running a wire between connections. Found that blinkers would turn on, THEN something went click, and now the engine won't even turn over!!!???

What the heck have I done?
    Help please

Probably blown a fuse that also carries power to the "ignition" or starter circuit or powers relays essential to operating the starter.

I vaguely remember something int he hazard circuit of my 300tdi fender that effected the start circuit

Need to have a look at the circuit diagram for your model
