    Historic plates, NSW

    Hi all

I have a 110 which is eligible for historic plates. I have had a look on the Services NSW site and the registration for a 110 (based on GVM) is almost $1000. This is pretty close to the standard registration so I'm wondering what I may have missed and is it worth the effort?
There also used to be some documentation on the process on the club page but that seems to have all gone.
Anyone in NSW have a 110 on historic plates that can share their experiences?

    Cheers - Simon

Yeah that's what I thought! I'll have a more thorough look on their site. I must have missed something key!

It should be about $60 a year for a historic plate. There are 2 categories. Historic and Club. Historic needs to meet a percentage of original (how it left the factory). Club is liberal. In either case, you need to be a member of a car club and the rego is endorsed through the club. Best reach out to the likes of Land Rover Owners Club - Sydney or a LR club nearest you and ask them about the ins and outs of signing up for concessional rego.

Thanks for the clarification, yes I noticed there were two categories. I was going to write to the Historic Vehicles Coordinator (LR Owners Cub) but the position has been vacant since the last AGM.

i asked a mate that has a connection to LR owners club - Sydney. Lots of Landies (Diana) on here is managing their historic register. She will have all the answers
