    LED side indicators

Where can I get affordable LED replacement side indicators (front wing) for a 1995 Land Rover Defender please?

(I have LED lights for everywhere else ready to instal but probably need to convert all at once.)
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

A quick google shows several options around $50.00 including Stedi which are great lights. These all appear to be the longer ones not the short square ones.

I always use the Wipac kits for customers Defenders.
The Wipac ones can also be purchased as individual lights.

I have also changed over the cheap branded LED side markers for customers after they filled with water.

as a note - "side marker" in general is in ref to front / rear indicators / tail / brake / parker lights and not just the repeaters on the guards.

THIS silicon gel cover type work well for me.

I had the '4chip' type where the bulb has multiple led chips to give an all round glow effect, like an incandescent globe, but those multi chip types seem to suffer failure more regularly.
Maybe the silicon case enclosure makes those types a bit more durable or something.

Also this is assuming that the Defender uses the W5W type bulb too, but either way, I think the bulb replacement is easier than a dedicated LED replacement.

Just get an amber coloured type, the white ones make the indicator colour look too washed out.

Mine are the smaller type - do the longer type fit (ie no need to cut larger hole or anything)?
I'm happy with the standard size if Wipac are that size.

@DazzaTD5 do you happen to have a link to the Wipac ones you use? Looking for a good place to buy.

Thanks for the tip on the meaning of 'side marker' too. Repeater is the word I was looking for.

you can search either wipac aftermarket WIPAC – The Aftermarket Division
or search britpart Home | Land Rover and Range Rover Parts | Britpart
britpart use a different part number for the same thing...
seach either part number will return many a result from ebay, lrdirect, etc etc or from recommendations here. I use LR Direct, not necessarily the cheapest but highly reliable.

britpart (wipac) - DA8530W clear lens.
britpart (wipac) - DA8532W amber lens
    Wipac S8010LED – Amber Lens.
    Wipac S8011LED – Clear Lens.
    Wipac S8012LED – Smoked Lens.

oh i see you did say a 1995 defender, so it wont have the plug and the little square repeaters, i'm sure someone here has fitted the later style, its not like its rocket science to fit.
Wipac do the older square ones if you search their site.

    Ta.

I had no trouble finding them but ALL of them seem to be from the UK. I'd have thought wipac stuff would be readily available in Australia.... evidently not.

I suspect the hole in the guard is likely to be different, based on the images of the two types... so I'd probably to avoid the faff and if possible get some old-style but LEDs, ideally a clear type if possible.

This is quite literally what I need if only I could find someone who sells it!
