You might have to get whatever evap they fit to Perenties.
So it would appear the evaporator in my car is less than idea.
They aren't available from the normal channels.
Does anyone have any ideas where I might find one. Or more likely if there is an evaporator that can be substituted.![]()

I didn't see the evap. But they said a new one would be a big improvement as the old one was in poor condition.
They also said that part of the problem was the air was bypassing the evaporator. So they were going to do some mods to force it through the evap.
I found this one.

When I get it back I will furnish one. Judging by the looks of it inside my blower motor I imagine corrosion and red dust will be the theme. I'm going to try and cobble up some kind of an intake filter to keep the dust at bay.
One of the things the AC people said was "there was a substandial about of air bypassing the core". they are keen to ensure air goes through the core as part of the job.
This will be no shock here I'm sure, but it seems my AC was suffering from many problems.
What I don't understand is the car has been to two other AC people who failed to mention that.

I thought mine was likely bypassing but when I got it all apart it would have been minimal.
I made up filters for mine to stop it getting clagged with detritus.
I used the mesh filters off of old split systems we had.
