Standard Defender 130 with rear air locker & 400kg coils with poly air bags doing the Old Telegraph Road at Cape York in two wheel drive. CV exploded exiting a boggy creek bed. I have since found out it's not a good idea to give too much power with steering locked. Removed CV and half shaft as car wouldn't turn, sealed diff with silicone and half tennis ball. It pays to travel wiith a mechanic, Thanks Bob.
Hi there Defy130
I do like the external bar work on the 130 - very nice indeed.
By the looks of the pictures it was a harsh trip - great pictures
All the best

G'day Defy130,
I like the rollcage! Where did you get it done, how much, and are there any roadworthy problems?
I didnt have any issues with the cage on mine. I did have it all certified though. The external stuff seems to be basically irrelevant. They only seem bothered by the internal stuff.
Rgds

I've done a few deep water crossings (over the bonnet). It always scares the bejesus out of me (even in photos) and it wrecks the radio.
37x12.5x15 MTRs on 50mm+ wider offset rims,, i had run my mates 35x12.5 creepy crawlers and didnt think that going to 37s would be much problem as i ran them on the old standard suspension with some minor rubbing, but the 37s make the 35s look small, even puting them next to some 36in simex they simex looked a good couple of inches smaller!!
Do you have anymore photos of it?
