Was there with DKTARI in June and trapped in Birdsville for 3 days and kept the pub afloat.

One of the things that put me off ordering a Heritage was that it would be too special to modify and use, but that just looks so right.

Yep, had gorgeous whether, really warm. Hardly wore a shirt the whole time in the Simpson, including nights. While nice it was just a bit too warm and the flies were out in force. Luckily we followed it up with 80km/h winds in the Flinders ranges.

I just returned home from a run over to Karumba, Gulf of Carpentaria, via the Bourke Development Road for a kilo of prawns and chips for lunch. The road was very cut up for at least half its distance, and I had to recover one very silly Red P plater in his clapped out Ford ute with low profile tyres and no tools, water etc.
It was a nice few days away, showing my Nephew from Balarat, my back yard.
