Not sure about the "paint code" - just looking at the photo and it looks similar in colour.
I haven't seen many others with the combination of the "Montalchino Red with a White Roof" - I have seen a few with red roofs or black packs.
I have seen one other Puma with the Montalcino Red with a White Roof - we exchanged waves.
I am sure there are others....
I am assuming yours is a Montachino Red 110 - not sure where you verify that though.
Continue to admire yours Col! Great photo mate ;)
Have you ever thought about getting some white HD 'Wolf' wheels instead of the alloys? I reckon they would look great on yours with the lovely white roof
BTW, did you go to the LR show and 'win' again this year!
I have one sitting in the shed awaiting some minor work, & there is no paint code on the data plate. So I would be interested to know what the official colour is. I did get a touch up made by removing one of the wheel arches & taking it along to a paint place - can't find the spray can though!
That vintage would be Rioja Red, wouldn't it?
Cheers,
Jon
Came across the empty tin of paint which is Copperleaf Red Metallic (Rover Code 1250/CDX) according to label on the can. My Xtreme is a MY2000 pre most of the electric stuff, like windows, locks heated bits & bobs!:)
Thanks Yolo - I love that photo as it is what I do every Saturday - take my dog (Bearded Collie) out to do Sheep Herding at Erskine park - I like to see the Defender in the padock chilling out with the sheep :-)
I'll take a photo of the dog with the sheep (and the Defender) this weekend!
Funny that you mention the white wheels - I was looking at black wheels...... I will get a black front bar next month (Rijidij Tube Bar with hoops) - and then will look at getting the headlight protectors in black. I think I am going for a black and red look - with a white roof.....
I didn't go to the Expo this year - sadly though - I was hoping to be able to attend but was busy - probably a good thing as I would have won again :wasntme:- and that would not have gone down well :D
Appreciate the comments - good fun!
Cheers,
Col.

Mine is also a MY2000 Xtreme... maybe they are the same colour.
Personally i prefer the older dash. Manual windows are the best!

1. the front manual vents.
2. the dash
3. loads of "available" space in the engine bay.
Things I like about the puma.
1. Quieter on the highway
2. Better feeling on the road
3. More feeling of power (maybe the difference in the way they develop power)
This is my latest , the puma 90 with the blessing from my wife with the air con ,especially in summer we love it.
The green lwb defender (my previous wagon ) was terrific and has been sold to another Landrover enthusiast in Perth.
The Defender community is thriving in the south west of WA.people have realized what they were missing out on before they disappeared.
Numbers of defenders have jumped considerably since just before they stopped manufacturing them early this year.
