That's shocking.
Sorry I had to I'm a father of four so it just slips out.
What's going on people? No-one's posted a photo for days.
To keep us going, here's Alasdair waiting patiently for the traffic to clear up on Blue Rag:

We just got back from a week on Fraser Island; I couldn't imagine a better way to spend 7 days.
At the wreck of the Maheno:
A typical camp set up:
Waiting for low tide to round Sandy Cape (Pacific Ocean out the rear door, Hervey Bay out the Gullwing):
Boiling some washing up water/post dinner tea.
Heading for the Valley of the Giants.
Now to spend a day cleaning sand out of the old girl and wondering why I came back.
The Rain Forrest is my favourite.
Cheers, Billy.
Keeping it simple is complicated.

It's been a LONG time since I've posted much - still struggling with this new format + i've been busy.
Ok so here are a couple shots I like.
Found this tree... massive. Made the poor little 90 look like a matchbox car.
and this log was on the road so I thought I should see if I could climb over.....

And finally a couple of action shots of my having a go at this very steep bank.

A couple of photographs of my Defender at Chillagoe, QLD. I have seen a good number of Defenders each day while travelling around the Cairns region which surprised me.

Also found a friend on the road down from Cooktown - a nice Keswick 110.

So much to see and so little time. I have got to do this area again and do the Cape!

SubscriberNearly 4yrs on its been a great journey with my Defender. Starting in Malaysia with lots of jungle adventures, now in Australia and hopefully the journey will continue through more great family fun and adventures ... below a little pictorial story of the 4yrs just past.
So this was a nearly 4yrs ago when I picked up my MY2013 DCPU brand new from Land Rover Malaysia...

Lots of great camping trips into the Malaysian rainforest jungles, even some volunteer flood relief work... Simple camping: Just stretch a tarp off the back or side of the vehicle and sleep on the ground, maybe family in the tub and me under the vehicle, or all on stretchers...

Then "transported" a little unlike so many older british subjects....to a new life in Sydney. Pictured here being delivered to me in Sydney just 2 days ago (co-incidently a very similar photo composition to the 4yo "brand new vehicle delivery" photo above).

The journey, of course, doesn't end here on entry to Australia. Looking forward to meeting a lot of you blokes and lots of Oz bush adventures in the coming years....
