    Thanks for the feedback. I noticed that you have a rhino rack fitted. I have just fitted one and in the install they stress not to put any of the support legs over the window section in the roof. Have you had any problems with mounting one of them over the roof window?

    I find it hard to see how one might avoid putting the support leg over the giraffe viewing window Unless you have a couple ft of rack hanging off the back!

    And that towbar does look good on our Defender - thanks again.

    This is a result of me being anal and liking things to look even. The only problem with the leg over the Alpine Lights, is that they press up against the rubber. I have thought of moving them, but it would throw out the balance. I might move them.........it goes against the grain though.

    Are we then to assume you defender has perfect door alignment and gap seals ?

    Hannibal Safari version, comes with a bottom step that bolts to the cross member. They are sold with the roof rack, not sure if you can buy them as a seperate item.
