Umm, have you posted in the wrong thread, Dave?
I didnt know there was one in a mates rover whose front diff I was changing and at that time I wasnt aware that you could get 4.11 (or 4.1) for the sals, I changed the front diff only to find that when low range was engaged the vehicle didnt want to play till it was on gravel or sand.
I figured that it was on 3.54's instead of 4.7's and that didnt work either....
the old count the turns trick was done and came out at about 4.1... I knew you could get them for the rover diff from a couple of places (tim of landrovers only fame made me aware of them) and at that time people had heard of the 4.1 for the sals but no-one had one.
