Can anyone help? Oil changes on TD5

    Hello to anyone tuning in!

I am going to do the oil change for the Engine, Gearbox, Transfer box and Diffs this weekend and am a little stumped. The manual says with the appropriate size socket/torx/allen key undo the sump plug blah, blah, blah.

Can anyone tell me what the appropriate sized sockets, torx or allen keys I need to have to do the job?

Any help will be much appreciated on the following bits

    Engine sump
    Gearbox
    Transfer box
    Diffs

    Thanks,

    Matt.

where are you most major centers will have at least a dozen people who will have the gear you need. If your brisbane/ipswich Im one of them.

from memory a normal socket set gets most of them and tis a t55 for the gearbox.

Diff drain and fill plugs are 1/2" square.

Just put the sq drive of an extension in there.

Sump is 17mm as far as I can remember. (but may be 19mm)

Box is Tork as per Daves reply.

Thanks guys - the guys at Auto One in Morley (WA) will order the torx for me tomorrow. I went to get the oil today and popped into Repco first - waste of time, then decided to annoy the chaps at Auto One - they bent over backwards for me. Top blokes and highly recommended for anyone in the Morley area.

    Thanks for the reply posts!

    Hi mate

whatever you do , don't order a Snap-on Torx 55 ,from memory $65.00 for 1 kinkrome be much cheaper I think if you order from auto-1
I had to buy one because I was desperate to put oil into the G/box for a trip to cape.

but I'll vouch for Auto-1 they are a great bunch and always go out of their way to help me.
