I hate the look of the chequer plate guard tops, but the tops of mine are getting dented and I am getting sick of seeing the dents. I would paint them white to blend in. Is 2mm strong enough to stand on?

hi guys what is better powder or anodised in black?
I'd go with anodising over powder coating.
I'm not an expert in anodising (but I guess Derek that you are closer to the action in Gove).
I guess it depends on the anodising as it is a process that electrolytically dyes the aluminium so you would have to buy pre-anodised stock and I wonder if checkerplate fits into that category?
I have specified black anodising for window sections and the shade can vary. It can be scratched to reveal the native colour below. It is only skin deep.
Ok there seems to be endless variations of this kit. So far I have only looked at the wing protectors. To make it simple this is what I am getting the price to make up. With no variations in the overall desgin, colour etc...
Wing Protectors
3mm chequeplate lasercut wing protectors
Black anodised with countersunk holes pre drilled
Protector will extend to halfway round the radius of the front of the wing, (like on the G4 Defender, it will not extend to the front headlight surrounds seam) this will be the only curve on the protector the top and side edge will be flat. On the inner edge it will sit under the bonnet seal.
Descriptions on the rest of the kit will follow in the next few days. (Once I can find a 110 with straight enough panels to measure up)
If your happy with this and are interested in a pair put your name on the list below
This is the list

And before anone else asks, a mate in the industry is building these up as a personal favour to me, ie (no profit) I am not going to ask him to supply people with cheap sheet, so don't ask again.
